lawn

Last week they “did” our lawn. I was under the impression that after they graded it they would put topsoil down. This is what a lot of our yard looks like. I thought they would remove a lot of the rocks. I have no idea if this is normal or not.

Wow…that isn’t what I would have expected. They have only just begun building 2 homes in our new development. I will have to watch closely to see what they do with the lawn…BUT…based on what our sales rep has said it sounded to me like they go through a lot to try and make the yard look nice, so I would have thought that would have meant grading, top soil, seeding, and lots of water…

  2. That doesn’t look right. Did you pay for any extra “rock-hounding”? We did pay for an upgraded lawn package through their vendor directly. When they did the lawn, it was seed and straw – no topsoil or extra dirt.

I will ask our PM tomorrow exactly what they do.

BTW, did you ever get a resolution to your electric bill being high?

  4. When we built our last house, our lawns all looked like this. 😦 Jim built a box with mesh and basically sifted the rocks from the dirt. It was a crazy amount of work!! If you aren’t happy, do something NOW before the grass starts to grow!!!! Good Luck!!

  5. The electrician came and said everything looked good in the house. We haven’t gotten our second electric bill yet. We should get it soon. If it is still high, I am not sure what to do????
